The Cottage
Duke Cottage is a cosy and comfortable cottage in the small village of Gleaston near Ulverston on the edge of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. All rooms are well decorated with lots of unique and interesting features. It has a private front garden area, living room, kitchen/diner, double bedroom, office and converted attic with cinema projector. Outside there is locked stoage building for bicyles and other belongings and an outbuilding with washing facilities.
The Area
This property is the perfect base to explore the wonders of South Cumbria with so many great places to visit and see nearby. Head over to the coast which is a short drive away with many beaches to choose from and bask in the amazing views across to Morecambe. The historic coastal town of Barrow-in-Furness is a stone's through away, with plenty of shops, eateries, and bars to choose from and lots of entertainment spots to try. The Lake District is less than a 40-minute drive, with Windermere, Coniston, and Hawkshead all within easy reach with a choice of lakes to enjoy a day out on.
ABOUT US
Rachael bought the property in 2017 where it was her home until 2021 before moving into a larger family home with her Partner Mark and two dogs Katy and Alfie. It is now available as your home to explore the wonderful area or just relax.
